Review by hotel critic
Grandvrio: A Value-Focused Stay with Distinctive AmenitiesDuring my recent visit to Grandvrio, I found a unique balance between luxury and value. Nestled in the serene southern area of Himeji, the hotel offers convenience with its free shuttle service to nearby stations, making transportation easy for families. The room was modest yet well-appointed, allowing for a comfortable experience. Impeccable housekeeping maintained cleanliness, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere during our stay. Although the bathroom was compact, it was equipped with ample toiletries, whisking any worries away. One of my favorites was the delightful grand buffet breakfast featuring Western and local cuisines. This dining experience was a highlight, especially for travelers keen on exploring genuine local flavors. The on-site public bath, with its soothing hot spring options, provided a serene escape, though its popularity means it can get busy. While a bit distanced from key attractions, a refreshing walk could be just what you need after a long day exploring.
